Jello,
Day 3 - Before everyone wakes up - Quiet house
I just wanted to get a quick recap of last night. We all talked in the kitchen for a while during the shower rotation.
After that, we sat in the living room and prayed, talked about the day,and played a team building game.
(Mind you, this might be really confusing)
We had to balance a ball that was resting on a 3 inch PVC pipe, which we held up by 8 feet long strings that were attached to the pipe. We each had 2 strings in hand, there were a lot of strings still hanging down. Once the ball was being suspended by us, we had to walk down the hallway, into bedrooms and bathrooms, and back into the living room. Once we got close to the living room, Shawn and Ashlei put chairs and their bodies in the way to complicate the situation. We weren't allowed to move anything that was an obstacle.
That said, we did it first try. Go team.
I think the biggest thing we took from the exercise was that communication is key. It doesn't help to have a power complex or a hissy fit; it's more efficient if you pull your own weight and encourage each other.
When we were almost to the finish line in the exercise, Shawn and Ashlei stood/sat in our way and made things really complicated. We called them the "devil".
(At this point in my journal, I wrote out our inside jokes and the meanings behind them. But, they really won't make sense, so I'll just leave them out.)
Well that's all for now.
